Vorfall in der Produktionsanlage der Flumroc AG in Flums – Keine Verletzten, Notfallmassnahmen wurden effizient durchgeführt
Die Gesteinsschmelze floss über den Auslass auf den Boden aus. Das geschmolzene Gestein entzündete umliegende Materialien, wodurch es zu Rauchentwicklung kam. Das Produktionspersonal, einschliesslich der Werksfeuerwehr reagierten umgehend und brachte mit Unterstützung von lokalen Feuerwehren die Situation gegen Mitternacht unter Kontrolle. Es gab keine Verletzten.
Der Geschäftsführer der Flumroc, Damian Gort, sagt: „Wir stehen am Anfang der Untersuchungen zu dem Vorfall. Das Wichtigste ist, dass niemand verletzt wurde. Ich danke unseren Mitarbeitenden und den lokalen Einsatzkräften für ihr rasches und effektives Handeln.“
Wir werden zusätzliche Informationen zum Vorfall kommunizieren, sobald diese verfügbar sind. Die Lieferfähigkeit wird zurzeit über Lagerbestände und Schwesterwerke soweit möglich gesichert.

Incident at Flumroc AG production facility in Flums –
No injuries, emergency procedures carried out efficiently
Flums, 10 October 2025 – Yesterday evening at 9:20 p.m., molten rock spilled over in the production building of Flumroc AG in Flums (SG). No statements can be made at this time regarding the cause or any damage.
Molten rock from the production process flowed from an outlet onto the factory floor. The molten rock ignited surrounding materials, causing smoke. Production personnel, including the plant fire department, responded immediately and, with the support of local fire departments, brought the situation under control around midnight. There were no injuries.
Flumroc Managing Director Damian Gort says, “We are in the early stages of investigating the incident and will provide more information when available. The most important thing is that there were no injuries. Let me thank our employees and the local emergency services for their prompt and effective actions”.
We will communicate additional information about the incident as soon as it becomes available. Deliveries are currently being ensured to the extent possible via warehouse levels and other Group factories.
